Natchitoches Junior High Frankie Ray Jackson School Holds Open House

NJH Open House-2018 (4)

Excitement filled the air as Natchitoches Junior High students and their families filled the gym at their Open House held Sunday, Aug. 5. The Indian Cheerleaders formed a pom-pom line for the faculty to walk through as they were introduced to the parents and young scholars of Natchitoches Junior High Frankie Ray Jackson School.

The students and parents discovered the many opportunities the school offers. The school offers more than the traditional sports and cheerleading. Interested students may join the band, try their hand at 4H or journalism to name just a few of the fun ways to stretch their minds and abilities with extracurricular activities.

Kristie Irchirl is in her first year as principal of the junior high, taking the place of Edwin Mason. While this is her first year at the helm of the Indians, she is an experienced principal having previously served at L.P. Vaughn. This will mark her third year as a principal in the parish. She is aiming to extend her new school’s scores in English Language Arts, Math and Science.

The Natchitoches Parish Journal wishes the young men and women of the Natchitoches Junior High Frankie Ray Jackson School success in, and out, of the classroom this year. We are looking forward to seeing their accomplishments.
