Lakeview High School was the scene of more than a football game Oct. 5. It was a reunion as fans, students and their families, alumni and supporters gathered at the school for Homecoming. The smell of barbecue cooking filled the air as alumni gathered at tents for their respective years of graduation, some dating back to the schools that predated the establishment of Lakeview. The Gator Nation packed the stands to support their school.

The 2018 Lakeview Homecoming court was presented to the Lakeview fans. This group of 12 ladies are an accomplished group who represent their school and community well and will go far in life. Miss Madison Hale was selected as Sweetheart while Miss La’Tia Beavers was crowned 2018 Homecoming Queen by Lakeview principal William Hymes and 2017 Queen Miss Alanna Anderson. Miss Anderson is finishing her freshman year as a Health and Physical Exercise major at Northwestern State University.

The Gator football team gave a Holy Savior Menard squad all they could handle in an intensely physical game that ultimately went to the visiting Eagles 33-0.
