Sheriff endorses candidate after announcing he will not seek re-election

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones announced his endorsement of Stuart Wright, who’s been with the Sheriff’s Office for 8 years after spending 27 years in the District Attorney’s Office. He announced this endorsement March 7, the same day he announced that will not seek re-election, and he will retire in 2020. Jones said that, with Stuart, he knew the department would be in good hands.

  1. Thank You Sheriff Jones for your service to Natchitoches Parish. Thank you for your conscientious and caring attitude and for always being willing to listen to the people of Natchitoches Parish. It has been wonderful to know that we are being protected by an agency under your guidance and care. I especially thank you for your service to the seniors of Natchitoches Parish. Always a job well done! Mr. Stuart Wright will also do a great job I’m sure with his background and experience if elected.
