Are you between the ages of 16-24 and out of work and school? Sign up now for a FREE 16 week Workforce Training Program through the Ben D. Johnson Educational Center. This program includes classroom education and hands-on learning. Earn a weekly stipend, gain skills, get breakfast and lunch daily and assistance finding a job at the end.
The program will run April 1-July 19, Monday-Friday from 8 am – 3 pm. The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is a nonprofit organization looking to transform lives and build community. It is located at 400 MLK Drive, Suite A in Natchitoches.
• SUPPORT TO OVERCOME BARRIERS Get connected with resources to help you overcome the barriers to getting a job.
• JOB READINESS SKILLS TRAINING Learn how to get and keep a job. You will be trained in team work, multi-tasking, customer service, learn how to create a resume, gain job interview skills, and meet business leaders.
• LEADERSHIP SKILLS TRAINING
Learn transferrable skills that will prepare you for entry level positions in food service as well as retail, distribution, manufacturing, and general office. Sharpen your communication skills and learn time management,
• CULINARY SKILLS TRAINING
Earn your ServSafe Certification and learn hands-on cooking and at the Legacy Café.
Requirements: 16-24 years old, out of work and not in school, and have a desire to learn.
Just show up and fill out an application on one of the following dates and times: March 22 and 27 from 9-11 am and from 1-3 pm.
