In an effort to provide measures to enhance communities around Louisiana, Southern University and A&M College has launched a new community development concept through the historic land-grant University’s agricultural research and extension center from the Baton Rouge campus. This endeavor has four free certification training topic areas. They include: Small Business Development, Food and Farm Safety, Sustainable Urban Agriculture and Master Small (goat, sheep) Ruminant.
Sharing the specifics of the concept will be offered to all Natchitoches Parish residents and residents of surrounding parishes-at a town hall meeting slated for Monday, June 3 at 6pm at First Baptist Church, located at 1116 Amulet Street. William Augustine, director of mobile technology at the university, will be the featured speaker.
