NPD Makes Arrest In Fatal Shooting – Additional Suspects Wanted

The Natchitoches Police Department executed multiple searches on warrants on May 31 for the arrest and apprehension of multiple suspects in connection with the May 18, 2019 fatal shooting of 20-year-old Deshawn Beaudion. An initial investigation was started by responding officers which revealed that Beaudion was a passenger inside of a vehicle with another adult and two juvenile males. As the vehicle they occupied approached the Breda Town Park their vehicle came under immediate fire. In addition, officers learned that one of the juvenile passengers inside of the vehicle had also been struck in the back causing minor injury.

The Natchitoches Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division then began an investigation into the incident. Based on their investigation, detectives were able to develop multiple suspects who had potentially fired upon the vehicle. In addition, the information gathered led detectives to obtain multiple arrest warrants for the arrest of three suspects.

Seankalyn Jaqulen Markel Chatman, 114 Sylvan Dr., Natchitoches, LA, 20 years of age, was arrested on one count of First Degree Murder and three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Chatman was later transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where he awaits bond.

Kristopher R. Burks, 1815 South Dr. Lot. 1373, Natchitoches, LA, 19 years of age, was arrested on one count of First Degree Murder, three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Burks was later transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center where he awaits bond.

Joseph Joquan Davis, 400 Lakeview Dr. Apt. 4112, Natchitoches, LA, 17 years of age, is being sought by authorities on warrants for one count of First Degree Murder and three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. If anyone has information as to the whereabouts of Joseph Davis please contact the Natchitoches Police Department immediately. Joseph Davis is considered; Armed and Dangerous.
