Parish President Rick Nowlin has announced his intention to make appointments and reappointments to the following boards and commissions which currently have vacancies or members with expiring terms:
Housing Authority
Water Works District #2
Hospital Service District
Fire District #10
Tourist
Any resident interested in serving on a board or commission should submit an application to the Office of the President. In addition, any current members of these boards and commissions who have expiring terms are encouraged to apply for reappointment.
Applications may be picked up at the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse, located at 200 Church Street, or by contacting David Kees, Jr., Executive Assistant to the President, at (318) 352-2714.
I am sure unless you are blood or a mistress you probably won’t
be selected but if by chance we are,will we have access to stolen money ?
That’s curious, they want people to submit an application for a voluntary board membership? Does this mean someone will review said applications and reject some/most?
As Groucho Marx said, “I would never belong to a club that would have me as a member.”
Strange comment and question. Of course someone will review the applications, in this day and age it would be irresponsible not to request one and review even for “volunteers”. These are official, chartered Boards and I would bet there is a State law requiring such. SMH
It might be helpful if there was a link to exactly what these boards and commissions do and what are the member requirements
