Rockin’ River Fest rocks the night away

The amphitheater on the downtown riverbank was packed Friday night, June 7, for the Rockin’ River Fest. Performances kept the crowd dancing as Johnny Earthquake and The Moondogs opened up for Rockin’ Dopsie. Wayne Toups and the Cenla Brass Band also performed.

Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Inductees were in town for the Induction Ceremony on June 8, along with Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser.

A special kids area offered snow cones, put put golf, basketball and other fun sports activities for the kids. At the opposite end of the riverbank, the VIP tent offered a place to cool off and grab a refreshing drink. It also provided exclusive access to some of Louisiana’s sports greats.

After the sun went down, the Hall’s impressive Class of 2019 Inductees, headlined by Peyton Manning and Les Miles were introduced on stage. The evening ended in classic Natchitoches style with a fireworks show.
