To celebrate the Natchitoches Parish Library’s (NPL) annual summer reading program, the Friends of the Natchitoches Parish Library (FONPL) has given away three Amazon Fire Tablets to early registrants.
“We are so thankful to our Friends group, they do so much to promote literacy and library events within our community,” says Alan Niette, NPL Community Outreach Coordinator. “They enable us to better serve the residents of Natchitoches Parish through special programming and other support.”
The summer reading program is divided into three age groups: children, teens, and adults. All three age groups have dedicated programming for their interests, along with prizes awarded for reading in two-hour increments. Sign up for this year’s program will continue through the second week of August, with all reading logs due on Saturday, August 10. There are 6 prizes that can be earned by the end of the program and each completed book is an entry into the grand prize drawing.
