Campti’s Kingdom Life Center Hosts a “Back to School Bash” for the Community

By Kevin Shannahan

The Kingdom Life Center in Campti hosted a “Back to School Bash” at their church building Saturday, August 3. The event, in its 4th year, featured the Natchitoches Parish Library’s ubiquitous face painting team as well as Christian rapper “Bush Baby” who entertained the young scholars and their families. The church served food to those attending as well as giving out door prizes and over 175 backpacks filled with school supplies.

The “Back to School Bash” was more than a fun event for the children and their families. The event was a tangible way for the community to tell the children that there were people who cared about them and stood ready to help. It was small town life at its best. As the event flyer said: “Focus on the Future!”
