The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 7:00 am, weather permitting, LA 1226 & LA 1227 will have daytime alternating lane closures between US 84 and Placid Oil Road to allow for construction work. This work will consist of constructing a new base and surface course on LA 1226 and LA 1227. The lane closures can be expected to last until the end of March 2020.

Permit/Detour section
There are no detours at this time associated with these lane closures.
NOTE: There will be a width restriction of 9’ associated with the lane closure.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
