The Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission (NHDDC) met on Aug. 15 to discuss the current effort in promoting the #GONatchitoches widget app.

With the use of table tents, window clings and coasters for local events and businesses, they plan to gain downloads of the app and increase continuous usage.

The meeting also covered promotion and the projected outcome in regards to a number of events and festivals that will take place this fall with events like the Blush and Bashful Weekend and Fall Tour of Homes being major topics of discussion. Both will feature a reception hosted at the Steel Magnolia House on Jefferson Street in honor the 30th anniversary of the movie.

Cane River Zydeco Festival & Motorcycle Poker Run – August 30-31

Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival – September 20-21

Natchitoches Car Show – October 4-5

65th Annual Fall Tour of Homes – October 11-12

A Blush & Bashful Weekend – November 7-8
