The NSU Football family continued another one of its long standing traditions this Thursday, August 15 as the team held its 2019 Season Ticket Pickup Party at the NSU Fieldhouse. Several hundred eager Demon fans came to campus to pick up their season tickets, enjoy grilled summer fare, and meet Head Coach Brad Laird.
There is a palpable sense of excitement surrounding the Demon football program as Coach Laird embarks on his second year at the helm. Laird spoke to the assembled fans about his plans for the upcoming season. After the brief talk, he answered questions from the audience. Coach Laird’s quiet confidence is contagious and has spread throughout the team and community. The evening culminated in an invitation to come out and watch the team practice. The young men are in high spirits and working hard. The intensity is easy to see. This team is ready!
The NSU Demons’ home opener is Saturday, September 7 at 6:00. For a modest admission price, you can watch some hard hitting gridiron action, a superb halftime show as well as a family friendly tailgate before the game. The Natchitoches Parish Journal extends its best wishes to Coach Laid and his players for a successful season. Fork ’em Demons!
