District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington announced today that a Natchitoches Parish grand jury returned true bill indictments on August 28 in the two criminal cases.
Christopher O. Houston, Jr., 26, of Clarence, was indicted on one count of 2nd degree murder and one count of 1st degree feticide. Houston is charged in connection with the June 3 death of Elonzeya Zoeleah Houston and her unborn child.
In a separate case, three Natchitoches men were indicted in connection with a May 19 homicide.
Kristopher Burks, 19, Joseph J. Davis, 18, and Seankalyn J. Chatman, 21, all of Natchitoches, were indicted on one count each of 1st degree murder for the May 19, 2019 shooting death of Deshawn Beaudion. They were also indicted with three counts each of attempted 1st degree murder relating to the three victims who survived the shooting.
Burks was also indicted with one count each of illegal possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
