SEATTLE – Former Northwestern State All-American wide receiver Jazz Ferguson will remain with the Seattle Seahawks.
Ferguson, who was named to three All-American teams after a record-setting 2018 season with the Demons, was added to Seattle’s practice squad Sunday, one day after he was among the final-day cuts as the Seahawks trimmed their roster to the NFL-mandated limit of 53.
A 6-foot-5, 220-pounder from St. Francisville, Ferguson led Seattle in receptions in the preseason, catching seven passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener against Denver.
In his lone season at Northwestern State after transferring from LSU, Ferguson established school single-season records in catches (66), yards (1,117), touchdowns (13) and 100-yard receiving games (6).
