For the second time this season Northwestern State volleyball’s Hannah Brister has been named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
The junior outside hitter turned in another week of impressive numbers. Brister finished the four matches from the week with 56 total kills, a 4.7 kill per set average, and a .299 hitting percentage. She turned in her third 20-kill match of the season against UT-Rio Grande Valley, reaching the number in just three sets.
Her performance at the Texas A&M Invitational earned her a spot on her third all-tournament team in three chances this season.
Brister ranks 11th nationally with 165 total kills and 13th in kills per set at 5.0, the only Southland player in the top-20 in either of those categories. She has scored 10 or more kills in the last 19 consecutive matches, dating back to last season.
The Lady Demons host Prairie View A&M at Prather Coliseum on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. They play their final tournament before SLC play this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
