  1. I remember him when he attended Parks. The things I remember most about him was: he was smart and capable of doing well and he had a sad family life. I’m not trying to justify his actions but I understand the underlying causes. We, on many levels failed him and share in the shame for his actions.

      • Parents are responsible for raising responsible and descent children. They are responsible for teaching their kids right from wrong and enforcing the rules that helps to develop respectful children; not the schools or law enforcement.

    • I know many children who have had a sad family life & have yet to shoot anyone. I did not fail this person nor do I share his shame. I am not responsible for his actions in any way. In the same way I do not share the accolades of the child who becomes a functioning and contributing member of society.

    • Well Mr. Vogel if you failed him how about paying restitution to the victim’s family or maybe serving his sentence. Absolutely unbelievable to “think” anyone other than he or his parents is responsible. SMH
