NCHS Band Students Selected for District Honor Band

Four Natchitoches Central High School Band students were selected to participate in the LMEA District II Honor Band: Eric Martinez, senior alto sax; Mariana Martinez, sophomore flute; Ja’Vion Patterson, junior tuba; and Wesley Clark, sophomore tuba.

These students traveled to Tioga High School on Saturday, September 21st to participate in this audition process which also serves as the first round of Louisiana All-State Band auditions. Clark has additionally been selected to advance to the second round of the Louisiana All-State Band auditions.

“I’m excited to have been selected to the honor band and second round of All-State. I had to practice day and night to get here, and my hard work paid off,” said Clark.

Their band director, Aleisa Hudlow, said, “I am so proud of this group of students! They worked very hard and achieved their goals. Many students practice very hard and still aren’t selected as part of this prestigious group, so this is quite an honor!”

These four students will travel to Tioga High School in January to participate in the LMEA District II Honor Band.
