Early voting for the 2019 election for Governor, Secretary of State, Parish President, and some Parish Council seats, got underway November 2 at the parish courthouse. Mr. and Mrs. Major and LaFern Ward were the first voters of the election cycle, arriving at the courthouse over an hour early to cast their votes. The couple was joined by a crowd of citizens who stretched down the courthouse hallway. It is Democracy in action and a joy to see.
Early voting will continue from 0830 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day but Sunday at the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse. The early voting started November 2 and will continue until November 9. The actual Election Day is November 16. The Natchitoches Parish Journal urges every citizen to exercise their right to vote. Early voting is an excellent opportunity to insure that your voice will be heard!
