Coming off the high of the city’s most recent successful events, the Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission (NHDDC) meeting on Nov. 21 was filled with excitement for gearing up the holidays and discussion of future projects.

The 93rd Annual Festival of Lights season kicked off this past weekend with Turn on the Holidays.

Commission members were excited to mention signature events like the Christmas Gala which will take place at the Event Center this year and preparations for tours to be held through the coming weeks.

Also discussed was the return of the Lighted Boat Parade, which is set for Dec. 14 and the new arrival of this year’s Ice Skating Rink on the River Bank Dec. 20-21.
