The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place early Sunday morning on Sibley Street.

On December 1, 2019 around 2:13 a.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department responded to the 400 block of Sibley Street in reference to someone being stabbed in the area. Upon officers arrival they located Katherine White (B/F, 55 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) suffering from several stab wounds. Katherine White was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased from her injuries.

A few hours later around 5:30 a.m., Terrence Luke, (B/M, 53 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) was placed under arrest for second degree murder and was placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

The Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
