First Responders Game set for Saturday’s doubleheader; men’s start time moved to 3:30

The Northwestern State athletic department and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center will say thank you to local first responders Saturday afternoon at Prather Coliseum.

The Southland Conference basketball doubleheader between Northwestern State and Southeastern Louisiana has been designated as a “First Responders Game,” allowing both entities to show their appreciation for police, fire and EMT professionals.

Free tickets to the game are being distributed to police, fire and EMT personnel. All of those professionals will receive a free T-shirt and be treated to a free meal between games of the doubleheader, which tips off at 1 p.m. with the Lady Demons hosting Southeastern Louisiana.

The men’s game between the teams will start no earlier than 3:30 p.m. There will be a shootout competition held at halftime of the men’s game.
