Dear Chiefs Community –
Has your family been impacted by cancer? Did you know that every 3 minutes someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer?
Next week, Feb. 3-7, NCHS will begin its annual “Pennies for Patients” drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. On Tuesday and Thursday morning Mrs. Callender and a LEO club member will be stationed at the Chief Booth where you can purchase an “I’m beating cancer card” for $1 to be placed on the atrium bulletin board.
Teachers will be putting out collection buckets in their first block class and collecting change for the week. OF COURSE – the first block class to raise the most money will be rewarded with a prize from the LEO club!!
Also, Mrs. Callender, along with other familiar NCHS faces will be working the parent drop-off line Wednesday morning from 7:00 to 7:30 in order to collect “pennies from parents” to help us reach our goal of $1500 dollars!
There is also an online giving link below where you can make your donation directly. Help spread the word in your school, family and community because the more informed we are the better chance we have at helping save a life!
