NCHS FOOTBALL FUNDRAISER

“Together Everyone Achieves More” is a great acronym for the word team. Natchitoches Central Football Coach James Wilkerson definitely learned during his years of coaching football that great teams involve a lot more people than just the players on the field.

“The best teams I’ve had the joy of being a part of were teams with committed parents, great school support and those with awesome community support,” he said.

The Natchitoches Central Football team will hold its First Annual Spring Golf Tournament at the NSU Complex Golf Course on Saturday, May 23. The tournament is a fundraiser to help with several needs for the football program, but it’s also a desire for the Natchitoches community to come out and meet the coaches and team.

“We not only want you to meet us, we want you to be a part of our TEAM,” said Wilkerson. “We are eager to build a winning tradition that our city will be super proud of.”

So whether you’re a local business, a service club, a group of neighborhood friends, church friends, co-workers or even a group of retired buddies who get together for coffee each week, you’re invited to come out on Saturday morning May 23 and support your Chiefs. You can sponsor a team for $400, sponsor a teebox for $125, or just come and enjoy a hamburger.

“We’d love to share some of our excitement for the upcoming season,” said Wilkerson. “We really believe we can be a good team, but I’m convinced we can be a great team with everyone’s full support. Look forward to seeing you on May 23.”
