  1. Seems if the state can report hospitalized patients then the parishes could also. No names just the number. Sure would like to know if they are walking around the grocery store with me.

  2. I would like to know where these people are. Only by luck did I find one that worked at a doctor’s office I was to go to. Glad I found out & rescheduled.

  3. Dear NPJ:
Please consider doing a series of articles highlighting local businesses that are still open, not only restaurants but others. These merchants will bring your items out to your car so that you do not even have to go inside. I think, now more than ever, we need to support our local businesses and continue to encourage them. Thank you.

    • Agreed. And our local small businesses will really need our support when things return to “normalcy” too. They will have some lost revenue to make up for and any help the local community can provide will be very much appreciated.

Remember this, a portion of local government revenue comes from sales tax and I’m sure that is way down right now. The city, the parish, and the school board will all be seeing shortfalls.

And another reminder, PLEASE complete the 2020 Census. We need all 38,000+ people in the parish counted. Future revenue into the parish will be influenced by population count. Thanks.

  4. I still don’t understand why Natchitoches won’t provide information on how many cases are hospitalized here and how many have recovered. Would make me more comfortable knowing this. And no don’t tell me it is due to privacy.

    • Call the NRMC and ask. I know what they are going to tell you. Yep you guessed, Federal
      regs. “NO can do”
