The City Council held a brief special called meeting Tuesday afternoon, May 5, to pass a resolution approving an amendment to a utility easement agreement for utilities across property located on the Northern right-of-way of Keyser Avenue owned by Mursimco, Inc., said easement to be relocated.
This relates to the future Hobby Lobby construction project and Mayor Lee Posey said the City is trying to stay on time with and not hold it up in any way. They’re moving utility lines beside and behind the building. The Hobby Lobby will be housed in a 50,000 square foot building. Right now the utility lines are going right through the building, so they need to be relocated. The store is set to open May 2021.
