Defend Against COVID-19. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Recognize the symptoms. Cover your cough. Wash your hands. Stay home especially if you are sick.
Maintain a Social Distance of 6ft. Social distancing means keeping 6ft. of physical space between yourself and others. This helps to prevent the spread of illness.
I’d like to know how many of these recent infections can be traced back to the local nursing home outbreak. I understand the nursing home is not wanting to release this information, but it must be available somewhere. Other areas have numbers of cases for individual homes.
I agree with Richard. The more information we have the better in this instance. I would like to know how many have recovered and how many are hospitalized. Why does everything have to be such a secret?
I know we have privacy laws, but I think the Natchitoches community should have more information about what is happening here. Other communities are getting this information. We should know the demographic of those infected and the deaths. That means age, race, sex, etc. We should know if they were in a nursing home. Did they have underlying health issues. Where were they infected? How were they infected? How many are in the hospital? How about it…. Journalist, Health Department or NRMC?
