The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the District 08 Low Cost Safety Improvement Project on Monday, July 13, 2020 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. This sign replacement project is located throughout District 08 on various state routes within Avoyelles, Grant, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon, and Winn Parishes. The designated routes within each parish will receive new horizontal alignment warning signage and related work.

The project was awarded to the low bidder, Traffic Commander, LLC in the amount of $158,340.00.

Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin removal of the existing signage and installation of new signage on Monday, July 13, 2020. During construction of this project, all roadways will remain open to all local and through traffic with no width restrictions for vehicles. The roadways will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
