The Natchitoches Parish Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting via teleconference on Monday, July 20 at 5:30 pm.

Council to consider confirming the appointment of William Coatney to Sewage District No. 2 Board

Council to introduce Ordinance No 014-2020 to effect a zoning change from City District to a B-2 Business District for the purpose of establishing a Family Dollar on Lots 1 and 2, Block 24 of the Chaplins Addition (parcel #1063000800) and Lots 5 and 6, Block 19 (parcel #0063007350) with physical addresses of 8894 and 8896 Texas Street in Robeline as approved by the Parish Planning Commission on July 6, 2020.

Council to adopt Ordinance No 008-2020 to remove a portion of the road located on Black Lake N/2Ne/4 of Sec 9, T11N-R7W at the end of Cloud Crossing Road which is the last 1,130 feet of Cloud Crossing Road from the Parish Road System.

Council to adopt Ordinance No 011-2020 to amend the 2020 Operating Budget to create Fund 221 Payne Sewer LCDBG Project.

Council to adopt Ordinance No 010-2020 to surplus the Old Creston Polling Place Building.

Council to adopt Ordinance No 013-2020 to effect a zoning exception to the I-A Industry-Agriculture District zoning classification for Cypress Baptist Church for the purpose of establishing a cemetery on the 1.2 acre tract of land where Cypress Baptist Church currently exists.

Council to consider authorizing the Parish Treasurer to seek proposals for insurances for the Parish including but not limited to Health, Supplemental Health, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Worker’s Compensation, Auto, Inland Marine, Cyber Security, Property, and Public Officials Liability. This authority includes the option to change the agent of record as necessary to explore other insurance options and secure accurate quotes to present to the Council for approval for the year 2021.

Council to consider authorizing the Parish President to sign and execute a lease agreement with Curtis Gregory fo the placement of a bin site on his property in Chopin, La.

Council to consider authorizing the Parish President to sign and execute a lease agreement with Gorum Community Center for the placement of a bin site on their property in Gorum.

  1. I think I’m the one closest to the property being rezoned and I’m not making a penny from it.. It’s not my land.. just another person knowing just enough to make themselves look dumb.. Commenting before they know facts

  2. I think there is a conflict of interest on the rezoning in Robeline. One of Robeline’s councilman owns the property to be rezoned and stands to make a huge profit…Coincidence??

    • oh my isn’t that interesting and yet not surprising.They are all for new
      growth as long as their pocktes get fat.
