Robert Owsley Announces Candidacy for City Court Judge

Natchitoches attorney Robert Owsley qualified for Natchitoches City Court Judge on Wednesday. He is running for the vacant seat created by the forthcoming retirement of Judge Fred Gahagan.

Owsley looks forward to the campaign and is ready to apply his 28 years of experience in the courtroom to the City Judge position.

Robert Owsley received his Juris Doctor from the Tulane University School of Law and his Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University. Owsley was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in Louisiana in 1992. He is an attorney at the Natchitoches firm of Murchison & Murchison where he specializes in family law and civil litigation.

Robert is married to Kathy Owsley and they have two children, Cameron and Callista. The Owsleys are members of the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church in Natchitoches.

The Natchitoches City Court Judge is elected by voters in Ward 1. The election will be held on November 3, 2020.
