
The Natchitoches Parish School Board held its committee meeting on Tuesday evening, Aug. 4. They recognized Natchitoches Central High School’s Band Director, Aleisa Hudlow, for receiving an Award for District II Band Director of the Year. District II is part of the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA), which comprises 7 parishes.
The board also received a Natchitoches Parish 4-H Update from Pam Pearce and met the new terminal manager for ECCO Ride bus services, Alfred Matthews. It also learned that Supervisor of Business Affairs, Richard Foshee, tendered his resignation as of July 31 after 2 years of dedicated service to the Natchitoches Parish School District. Another new position is Food and Nutrition Supervisor Shauna Hicks.
The Board will hold its regular meeting Thursday, Aug. 6 at 5 pm.

It was also mentioned in this particular board meeting that NCHS’s Paula Callendar won a national award in science.
