L.P. Vaughn Elementary School Under Quarantine for COVID-19

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Natchitoches Parish School Board made the decision to place L.P. Vaughn Elementary School under a 14-day quarantine for all students and faculty due to circumstances surrounding Covid-19.

L.P. Vaughn will be closing school until Tuesday, December 1, 2020. During this quarantine period, students will not be reverting to remote learning due to school closures for Thanksgiving break.

“Due to the holiday, students will not be participating in virtual learning,” says Superintendent, Dr. Grant Eloi. “Students will only be missing four days of face-to-face learning and will be having an extended holiday while being under quarantine.”

To ensure the safety of all students and faculty, L.P. Vaughn will be professionally cleaned during quarantine. NPSB officials, would like to ensure the public that this is the best course of action to prevent a further spread of Covid-19.
