Bands perform at concert to honor healthcare heroes

Even Santa came down to the riverbank Friday night, Nov. 20, to listen to live music underneath the Christmas lights. The Natchitoches Jazz and R&B Festival presented the Natchitoches community with a chance to honor healthcare heroes. Proceeds will support the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Foundation’s Moms & Babies Campaign to provide advanced technology and medical care for the Labor and Delivery Department at the hospital.

Add Apple rocked out for the opening performance before Johnny Earthquake and the Moon Dogs took the stage with special guest, Wayne Toups. Toups is well known for his Zydeco and Cajun music. Country Music Artist Trini Triggs helped keep everyone’s spirits high throughout the night.

A few couples danced on the bricks, while others relaxed in the amphitheater, listening to the music fill the cool night air.
