NPFD6 is just clearing the scene of the second structure fire in less than a month at the Oak Grove Apartment Complex.
On arrival, crews found flames and heavy smoke from a ground floor unit. Search and rescue for any occupants still in the units was conducted along with an aggressive interior fire attack.
Two occupants were transported to medical facilities for smoke inhalation and injuries sustained from jumping to safety from the second floor window.
All occupants were accounted for from all apartment units. The 8 units in to 100 building sustained heavy smoke damage and the residents have been connected with the Red Cross for resources.
NPFD6 Fire Investigator Leo has determined the fire to be accidental at this time.
20 NPFD6 members responded along with Engine 1 and 17, Ladder 43 and Rescue 6.
