A recent traffic stop by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies on La. Hwy 6 West near Natchitoches has led to the arrests of a brother and sister on felony drug charges that resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and firearms according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.
On Friday December 4 at approximately 4:30pm, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division were patrolling on La. Hwy 6 West near I-49 when they stopped a 2015 Chrysler 300 passenger car for a traffic violation.
Deputies identified the operator of the vehicle as 42-year-old Felecia LeBum of Houston, Texas.
A passenger in the vehicle, the brother of Miss LeBum was identified as 38-year-old Shun T. LeBum of Shreveport, La.
Deputies say while speaking with both individuals they appeared very nervous leading them to believe criminal activity existed.
During the traffic stop, deputies say conflicting statements led them to ask Miss LeBum if there were any illegal items in the vehicle in which she stated “some marijuana”.
Deputies learned during the stop through a National Crime Information Center Criminal History Background Check that Shun LeBum had been convicted of a prior felony.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery and seizure of approximately 4-grams of suspected high grade marijuana, 4.5 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, a Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun and a loaded Draco 7.62×39 AK-47 semi-automatic pistol and magazine on the backseat of the vehicle next to a two-year old child.
Flecia D. LeBum, 42, of Houston, Texas issued misdemeanor citations for Simple Possession of CDS I Marijuana and Ilegal Possession of Narcotics in the Presence of Persons under the age of 17.
She was issued a notice to appear in the Tenth Judicial District Court in February 2021.

Shun LeBum was released December 8 on a $31,500.00 criminal bond set by a 10th Judicial District Court Judge.
The seized narcotics will be submitted to the Northwest Crime Lab for narcotics analysis pending judicial process.
Deputies say the two were traveling from Houston making a stop in Many then to Natchitoches.
Deputy J. Creighton made the arrest assisted by Deputy M. Smith.
Sheriff Wright said deputies will continue to aggressively patrol roadways in Natchitoches Parish in an effort to intercept illegal narcotics and weapons being transported in our parish.”
