RECYCLING CENTER CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The City of Natchitoches would like to notify the public as of Friday, January 29, 2021, the Recycling Center located at 110 Mill Street has closed.

Recyclable materials collected at the Recycling Center were being sent to Pratt Industries located in Shreveport, Louisiana.  At this time, Pratt Industries has closed their recycling facility indefinitely and are no longer accepting recyclable materials.

The City will update the public if we are able to reopen the Recycling Center in the future.

  1. How horrible. We need to find another solution. We are an intelligent town and what we do to help the environment is a reflection of the awareness of our citizens. I was going to make a trip to drop off my recycling today. Let’s check Waste Connections and actively support those who are seeking alternative recycling possibilities.

  2. Waste Connections offers this recycling service too. They are already doing our normal waste, shouldn’t be too hard to get them to set up recycling too.

  3. I’m very sorry to hear this. I recycled all my paper products and cardboard there. Hopefully the city can find another alternative.
