Campti Community Development Center provides hot meals to children

Campti Community Development Center (CCDC) is a 501©3 nonprofit organization based in the Town of Campti under the direction of Judy Daniels, Executive Director.

CCDC provides Community Outreach Mentoring (COMP) services to children under 17 years old in the parishes of Bossier, Caddo and Natchitoches, in a partnership with the Department of Juvenile Justice. Those services include after school tutoring services and information and materials for growth and character development. Mentors provide mentees materials to encourage discussion on substance abuse, bullying, teenage pregnancy and other unhealthy behaviors. During these crises of COVID-19, services are offered virtually via zoom and phone communications.

Additionally, CCDC has partnered with the Louisiana State Department of Education to provide hot meals to children ages 2-18 years old. Meals are served free of charge Monday through Friday through its “Grab-N-Go” services located at 121A Raphiel Street in Campti, LA.
