Winter weather alters opening-weekend schedule at Southern Miss

NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State baseball team’s opening weekend series at Southern Miss has been shifted back one day because of the winter weather that has enveloped the region.

The teams still plan to play three games at USM’s Pete Taylor Park, but instead of three single games the series will consist of a Saturday doubleheader and a single Sunday game.

Saturday’s doubleheader will begin at 12 p.m. and will feature two nine-inning games while Sunday’s single game is set for its regularly scheduled time of 1 p.m.
