Reading on the River set for this Saturday

Plans are underway for this year’s Reading on the River on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Natchitoches Riverbank.

The Service League of Natchitoches is working with area vendors to provide this free, fun event where parents and pre-K to 5th grade children can enjoy book-related activities and take home at least one free new or used book.

Vendors who have their own tent/booth space, table, chairs and decorations are still welcome to participate at no cost. Each vendor should select a theme of their choice and provide at least one activity for attendees, such as storytelling, a small craft activity, or a coloring sheet. Vendor set-up will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 6. To partner with the Service League, please contact Karen Lee at kmlee@yahoo.com or 985.237.0208.

In the event of inclement weather, Reading on the River will be relocated indoors to the MLK Recreation Center.

We look forward to seeing you at Reading on the River!
