Lakeview Junior Senior High School to Host Free Drive-Thru Literacy & Math Night

Lakeview Junior Senior High School will host a Drive-Thru Literacy & Math Night on Wednesday, March 31 from 6-7 p.m. The event will take place on Lakeview’s campus. There will be a car path to follow along entering and exiting the campus area. The event is free and open to school-aged children and their parents. Food and activity grab bags will be provided.

The Literacy & Math Night, themed “Spring Into Reading: Literacy & Math Across the Curriculum,” will allow all students to take home creative activities that provide a unique view of literacy. The activities are meant to be fun and engaging, but also provide students with learning strategies they can use in their classrooms. Students and their families will “spring” into learning with their math, English, science, and history teachers as they take a drive-thru spin this year in lieu of the regular in-person one normally held.

Music, food, and activity grab bags will be happening! There’s no need to leave your car. We’ve got you covered! Children will also have a chance to take books to take home with them, and learn more about what the Northeast Natchitoches, Campti Branch Library Bookmobile has to offer.

All children need a community that supports them and sees their value. Our community is created by family, friends and teachers. For our students, we work to be a part of that community by building our connections. Our goal is to promote engagement and provide parents with instructional practice tools to help their students at home.
