  1. About 14 percent of registered voters in Natchitoches parish spoke for everyone on the tax in the district to which it applies and on the BESE Board run-off.. A bigger percentage will complain about the tax in years to come but didn’t bother to vote.

  2. Question! Is there a legal impediment that requires taxing districts to lie about the duration of taxes, always claiming they are temporary, generally for 10 years, when they know they will always come back at the end of th “temporary” period to do it again?

  3. One of my pet peeves over the yrs. about the money hungry world we live in is how the school board allowed illegally the purchase of school board properties statewide–la. state law was it was illegal to sell school properties–with the oil and gas co. over the yrs buying leases for drilling the monies to the school board would have been tremendous–one ex. was caddo parish rec 30,000 dollars an acre lease monies and that did not include royalities–again our govt. officals failed the people–
