Logansport- The Lady Tigers from St. Mary’s put on a dominating performance at the District 3-1 Track Championships last week. The Lady Tigers took home 12 Gold Medals and had 8 girls advance to the 1-1AA regional meet to be held Tuesday, April 27 at Lakeside High School. The Boys team also had 5 boys advance to Regionals along with a Gold Medal in the Pole Vault.
Maggie Gilmore won the District Field Athlete MVP with an impressive 4 first place finishes in the High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, and Discus competitions for a perfect 40-point score.
Jensen Parker and Gabby Godfrey were both named District Track Athlete MVP with 3 Gold Medal finishes and a 3rd place finish. Parker was 1st in the 400M, 800M, 4X400 Relay and 3rd in the 200M
Gabby Godfrey took 1st in the 100M hurdles, 300M hurdles, 4X400 Relay and 3rd in the 100M.
Maggie Wheat took home 2 Gold Medals with wins in the 1600M & 3200M races.
Cameron Bienvenu won a Gold Medal in the Javelin.
Anna Kate Jackson qualified for Regionals with 3rd place finishes in the 800M & 3200M.
Sophia Hogg qualified for Regionals with a 1st in the 4x400M relay and a 3rd place finish in the 1600M
Anna Marie McClung qualified for Regionals with a 1st in the 4x400M relay and a 4th place finish in the 200M.
Ann Michelle Long competed in the 100M race for the Lady Tigers.
The Boys Team was led with a Gold Medal performance from Chalin Gandy in the Pole Vault.
Andrew Godfrey qualified for regionals with a 2nd place finish in the 3200M and 3rd Place finish in the 1600M.
DJ Rager-Ridley qualified for regionals with a 4th place finish in the High Jump.
Mason McCart qualified for regionals with 2nd place finish in the 1600M and a 4th in the 80M.
Colton Cross qualified for regionals with a 2nd place finish in the 110M hurdles & a 4th in the 300M hurdles.
