The CDC’s connection to Northwestern State University allows the center to access workers who are pursuing careers in early childhood education or child and family studies. As a training site for early childhood graduates, the CDC obtains contributions to the curriculum with the latest research and pedagogy. In addition to its location on a university campus, the CDC’s classroom is in a K-5 elementary school.
