The Natchitoches Parish Veterans and Memorial Park Committee invite you to attend a Memorial Day Program on May 31, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. on the Downtown Riverbank Stage. The program will be a memorial to all those who died in the defense of our country, and those who have died since their service. The program will feature U.S. Congressman Mike Johnson, as the Keynote Speaker. The Congressman has been a continual supporter of all Veterans.
We will utilize the amphitheater seating, but you are welcome to bring folding chairs. The program will feature musical presentations, a tribute to a long time park committee member, and dedication of 5 new bricks to the Veterans Park. We are using the downtown stage in order to spread out and allow for some distancing, but please take time to visit our beautiful park before or after the program.
We will be recognizing all those Veterans who have passed away both in 2020 and 2021. If you lost a loved one from May 27, 2019 through May 31, 2021, please call to be sure we have that name on the list. (332-8951, 332-8952, 379-2707) We need the full name of the Veteran, and the date he passed away (month and year)
There will be a table set up to distribute programs and pass out poppies as you arrive. Please come out and participate in this Memorial Day Program to remember our Natchitoches Parish Heroes!
In case of inclement weather our alternate location will be the Knights of Columbus Hall.
