Natchitoches Central High School Orchestra Receives Awards for Performances at 2021 WorldStrides Virtual Festival Series

The Natchitoches Central High School Orchestra had the honor of participating in the WorldStrides Virtual Orchestra Festival in May. The NCHS Orchestra were ranked alongside schools within their classification and received many awards for their performances.

The orchestra performed three separate pieces. These ensembles included “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” by W.A. Mozart, “Rhosymedre” by R. Vaughn Williams, and “The Dance of Iscariot” by K. Mosier. Their performances were judged by a panel of three top-notch adjudicators. On May 26, 2021, WorldStrides held the awards ceremony where the NCHS Orchestra received the 1st place Outstanding Orchestra Award, the Adjudicator Award, and Gold in the String Orchestra 3A Classification.

In recognition of their achievements at the WorldStrides Festival, The NCHS Orchestra were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. The Natchitoches Parish School Board and Natchitoches Central High School would like to congratulate these Chiefs on their incredible performances and winnings!
