Two women arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

According to Task Force official, on 6/2/2021 at approximately 11:00 pm, Deputies from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office assigned to the I.M.P.A.C.T (Increasing Man Power Addressing Crime Trends) team stopped a dark colored truck for modified exhaust at the intersection of LA 6 and US 84.

Deputies made contact with Wendy Torres, 50 w/f, of the 100 block of Majors Rd. Clarence, La and Kathy Holland, 53, w/f, of the 1300 block of Hwy 71 Campti, La.

During the traffic stop, Deputies received consent to search the vehicle. Upon a search of the vehicle, they located 4.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine that allegedly belonged to Torres, and approximately 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine allegedly belonging to Holland.

As a result of the investigation, Torres and Holland were arrested and charged with the following charges:

Wendy Torres was charged with:
• 1ct 40:967 Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)
• 1ct 40:1023 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• 1ct 32:353 Modified exhaust

Kathy Holland was charged with:
• 1ct 40:967 Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)
• 1ct 40:1023 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Both Torres and Holland were placed into the NPDC and given a felony arraignment notice for 09/07/2021.
