Much like everything in 2020, Northwestern State’s Sponsor Signing Day was put on hold.
The momentum built in 2019 resumes Thursday at 12 p.m. in the Stroud Room when NSU’s new and returning corporate sponsors will be honored for their commitments to Demon athletics.
The event mimics signing day ceremonies for high school student-athletes when they sign their National Letter of Intent to play college sports.
“We are extremely thankful for the continued support of our program throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by our corporate sponsors,” NSU General Manager of Corporate Partnerships Nathan Razo said. “This is a way we can show our appreciation for what they have done throughout the past year while welcoming new sponsors into the Northwestern State family.”
Northwestern State’s initial Sponsor Signing Day in July 2019 earned the department a sponsorship activation gold medal in the 2020 National Association for Collegiate Marketing Administrators “Best Of” awards show.
Corporate partnerships are established through the Demons Unlimited Foundation, NSU Athletics’ 501(c)3 that helps offset the rising costs of scholarships, facility improvements, marketing/advertising and more.
