C & J’s Expo Promotes Small Businesses

Over 25 small businesses from throughout the area gathered at the LSHOF and NW Louisiana History Museum to showcase their wares and services and to promote entrepreneurship Saturday, July 24. The C & J’s Expo was the idea of spicemaker and caterer Edna Mae Love and Stationer Uniquely JD Industries. Those two businesses, and Coushatta’s American Bank and Trust, sponsored the event.

The Expo was opened with a prayer by Natchitoches Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. The businesses ran the gamut from savory spices and food trucks to spas and beauty products. A steady stream of attendees browsed the booths and enjoyed music from a DJ. Launch Network was on hand with information on their services for assisting in starting and running a business.

The initial Expo was quite a success, and the Natchitoches Parish Journal commends all of the men and women who came to showcase their dreams and hard work. As the sign to the Expo said: “There is nothing more exciting than being your own boss.”
