Already off to a brisk start, tickets remain available for Northwestern State’s biennial scholarship auction event, set for Aug. 21 at the Natchitoches Events Center.
The “Meet the Demons” event, presented by BOM, begins with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. The program and live auction begins at 6:45 p.m. with the popular “Final Five” drawing taking place an hour later. All proceeds from the event benefit the more than 300 Northwestern State student-athletes.
Fans who attend the event will be able to meet Northwestern State coaches and players while bidding on athletic memorabilia, trips, custom NSU gear and other items. Included in the auction is a New Orleans Saints helmet signed by Drew Brees, a basketball signed by reigning national champion coach Scott Drew, in-game experiences at the Jacksonville Jaguars-New Orleans Saints game and more.
The auction currently is open online at www.NSUDemons.com/MTD2021. All bidding – except for the live auction portion – will take place online or through attendees’ mobile devices. Bidders need not be present to win their items.
Attire for the event is business or dressy casual and masks will be required for entrance and to be worn aside from when eating or drinking.
Individual tickets are on sale for $75 or $125 per couple. A reserved table of eight will cost $500 with a VIP table that includes premium seating, social media and web site recognition and eight endless margarita cups is available for $1,000. Tickets are on sale through Aug. 16.
