NCHS Lady Chief Volleyball take down West Monroe Lady Rebels

The Natchitoches Central Lady Chiefs Volleyball team had a huge night as they traveled to West Monroe to take on the Lady Rebels in a season opening scrimmage.

The long drive did not stifle the energy of the Freshman team as they opened up the night with a double set win. 25-6 in the first set and 25-9 respectively.

Up next, the Junior Varsity team kept the momentum going with their double set win. The first set was 25-13 and 25-4 in the second set.

The Varsity team played hard and consistent and came out on top.

“I couldn’t be more proud of all the girls and how well they worked together tonight. Winning the first set was a tough battle. It took a great team effort to fight back and dig deep to win the next two sets, and the match after losing set two,” shared head coach, Kerri Kiracofe.

Natchitoches Central Lady Chiefs will scrimmage Byrd High School this Thursday at home. Games begin at 4:00.
